3450052 - Story Filter based on linked dimension could not work as expected in an Optimized Design Experience mode story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Create a story based on the live data connection to BW/4HANA system and enable the Optimized Design Experience mode for this story
• Add a linked dimension based on two live BW/4HANA models into this story
• After creating a story filter based on the linked dimension, observe that this story filter would only take effect on the widget which is created based the Primary model while this story filter would not take effect on the widget which is created based on the Second model

• SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.2.8
• BW/HANA Version: BW/HANA 1.0 sp10

1. Log on to SAC
2. Create an Optimized Story based on the live data connection to BW/4HANA models
3. Add a linked dimension based on two live data connection to BW/4HANA models (Model 1 and Model 2)
4. Insert two widgets into this story
   => Take two tables as an example. One table is created based on Model 1 and the other table is created based on Model 2
5. Create a story filter based on the linked dimension
   => When creating this story filter, data source could be selected as Model 1 and Model 2
6. When this story filter is based on Model 1, select one dimension member for this linked dimension
   => Observe that this story filter would only take effect on the table based on the Model 1 while this story filter would not take effect on the table based on the Model 2
7. When this story filter is based on Model 2, select one dimension member for this linked dimension
   => Observe that this story filter would only take effect on the table based on the Model 2 while this story filter would not take effect on the table based on the Model 1

• This issue is caused by the outdated BW/4HANA system version

• Update SAP BW/4HANA 1.0 SP10 system to at least SAP BW/4HANA 2.0 SP0 (for non-hierarchical filters) and at least SAP BW/4HANA 2.0 SP4 (for hierarchical filters) as per SAP Note 2715030 - Considerations when using SAP BW and SAP S/4HANA Live Connections in SAC (https://me.sap.com/notes/2715030)
