3450053 - How To Maintain Currency Translation Ratios

Symptom

When entering an exchange rate for a currency pair, the exchange rate is not translating as 1:1.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

Please see the following example of an unexpected translation ratio:

Exchange Rate Entered: 1 USD : 1 INR.

Result: 1 USD = 10 INR.

Cause

The translation ratio in the above example is maintained as 10 USD: 1 INR and 1 INR : 10 USD.

Resolution

If a 1:1 exchange rate is desired, then the translation ratio should be changed to 1:1 for the currency pair in SSCUI 102568 'Define Translation Ratios for Currency Translation'
