3451391 - Error 11105 and 7729 from set proxy command - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • Executing 'set proxy <username>' and error 11105 and 7729 is seen.
    • 11105: "No such user/role '<role-name>' exists."
    • 7729: "Invalid role string '<role-name>' entered."
  • The role name reported in the error is 30 bytes or larger.
  • The server is started with trace flag 859 to activate the cached syssrvroles optimization.
