3451438 - Unable to Modify Proficiency Level Scales in Talent Intelligence Hub

When attempting to edit a proficiency level scale in Talent Intelligence Hub, the following fields cannot be modified:

• Include Too New To Rate
• Number of Levels
• Lowest Level Value
• Rating Levels

SAP SuccessFactors Talent Intelligence Hub

1. Log in to SuccessFactors
2. Navigate to Admin Center > Tools > Manage Talent Intelligence Hub
3. Select the Proficiency Settings tab > Rating Scales
4. Select a rating scale > Edit
5. Cannot edit any of the following fields:
• Include Too New To Rate
• Number of Levels
• Lowest Level Value
• Rating Levels

This is currently expected behavior. The Lowest Level Value field and Rating Levels section can be modified until an Attribute Type has been tied to the proficiency level scale. Once an Attribute Type has been tied to a proficiency level scale, the Lowest Level Value field and Rating Levels section can no longer be modified.

The Include Too New To Rate and Number of Levels fields cannot be modified once the proficiency level scale has been created.

Note: You can add or edit translations after you finish the setup wizard for Name and Description field.

Rating Levels:

Scenario1 : In cases where customer has not yet created an Attribute based on an Attribute Type and now wants to change the Proficiency Level Scale

Best Practice:

As a best practice, customers should determine the appropriate Proficiency Level Scale for each Attribute Type before creating specific attributes and map it to the attribute type. It's recommended to adjust the scale for an Attribute Type before creating any associated attributes.

For example: If a "Skill" attribute type initially has a 1-5 proficiency level scale and needs to be changed to a 1-4 scale, this change should be made before creating any specific skill attributes based on that type. This should be the first step in the configuration process of implementing Talent Intelligence Hub, please follow the process:

1. Create a new proficiency level scale per the guide Configuring the Proficiency Level Scale | SAP Help Portal;
2. Go to "Attribute types" tab and click "Edit" button of the relevant attribute type;
3. Pick up the new 1-4 Proficiency level scale from the dropdown list and click save.

Scenario 2: In cases where customer has already created an Attribute based on an Attribute Type and now wants to change the Proficiency Level Scale

If none of the Attributes based on that Attribute Type have been assigned to any employee's Growth Portfolio, you can still modify its Proficiency level Scale. It's recommended to make this change during the initial configuration stages to avoid potential complications later on.

However, If an Attribute has already been assigned to an employee's Growth Portfolio, changing the Proficiency Level Scale of the associated Attribute Type is not possible.
