Symptom
When inserting a new record in the MDF object, the End Date in the History panel (on the left-hand side) shows the End Date value as one day prior to the actual date entered.
The behave is visible in both custom or standard objects.

Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
- Create a new custom MDF object in configure object definition.
- Make sure you add a new custom "date" field in this new MDF object and save the changes.
- Go into manage data tool and create a new object using this new custom object. (Make sure to add a date for this custom date field)
- In manage data now look up this object and insert a new record (We are basically just creating a 2nd historic record for this object).
- Enter a new date for the custom date field and save.
- Note how the date field shows fine in the right pane when viewing, but when you look at the new historic record in the left effective dated history pane, you can see that it is showing the date minus 1 day (1 day earlier).
Resolution
This is known behavior, the engineering team is working in patch fix to correct the history end date inconsistency, it is planned to be release in the next b2405 release.
This KBA will be updated with more information.
