3451473 - Unable to connect to SQL repository database during the installation under TCP/IP error -SAP Data Services

Symptom

  • Unable to connect to the local repository created on Microsoft SQL Server due the error below:
    "Unable to check connection to the repository
    The TCP/IP connection to the host <HOST_NAME>, port <PORT> has failed. Error "Connection refused: connect (local port 56831 to address 0:0:0:0:0:0:0:0, remote port <PORT> to address <SERVER_IP> (<FULLY_QUALIFIED_DOMAIN_NAME>)). Verify the connection properties. Make sure that an instance of SQL Server is running on the host and accepting TCP/IP connections at the same port. Make sure that TCP connections to the port are not blocked by a firewall.".
