3451540 - Error V2538 happens during sales order creation

When sales order is created, and WBS Element is assigned to sales order item, the following error is encountered:

• No results analysis key has been maintained for 123456789, ABC, 1234.
• Message no. V2538

1. Create a Sales Order
2. Assign WBS element to the sales order item in the account assignment tab.

During assignment of WBS Element to sales order item, the system need to compare the RA key determined by sales order item category and the RA key from the WBS Element.

• If the relevant scope item is not activated, the system can't determine the RA key, and error will occur.
• If the relevant scope item is activated, it's necessary to have the relevant configuration of RA key done.
  
  

1. Sales order processing with WBS element (project-based sales) requires a revenue recognition key – this is hardwired by SD. 
   For sales order, it is required to activate scope item 1K2 (or 33M, 33J according to accounting principle).
   For project,  it is required to activate scope item 4GQ (or 4GR, 4GS according to accounting principle).
   There is no workaround except activating the 4GQ and either 4GR or 4GS scope. 
   
   
2. If revenue recognition function is not needed from business, a NONREV RA key derivation setting can be configured. If the relevant key is derived, system will not generate event-based revenue recognition postings. 
   
   
3. Check configuration of SSCUI 103198 Derivation of Recognition Key for Sell from Stock. In the message, the missing item category can be found (example CB1C). The missing item category relevant setting needs to be maintained in the SSCUI.
