3451929 - No output item is created for Handling Unit with Sync Goods Movement - SAP S/4HANA Cloud

There is no output item(WM Handing Unit) created for handing unit when Goods Receipt without delivery with APP Post Goods Movement (APP ID MIGO).

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Go to APP Post Goods Movement (APP ID MIGO), Goods Receipt -> Purchase Order/Order/Other.
2. Enter required fields like material, quantity, plant, storage location(EWM Managed).
3. Go to "Warehouse Management" tab, enter the Storage Bin and pack the stock into a HU.
4. Post. Go to APP Warehouse Monitor -> Handling Unit, select the HU -> Print HU. No output item is found.

Workaround 1:

Condition at APP Output Parameter Determination.

• Output Type: HU_LABEL
• Virtual HU: B (Planned HU)
• HU Step: I (Create)
• Storage Bin: <your storage bin maintained in MIGO>

Further, please be aware, that Output Management takes the first entry that fits all the criteria, starting from the very first entry. So, please make sure, that there is no other entry above with less conditions, that are all met as well.

With the configuration, the output items can be found at APP Maintain Output item but output item cannot be found with APP Warehouse Monitor.

This is because during the synchronous GR with HUs, the HU is initially created as a Plan-HU in EWM. Before Goods Receipt is posted, the Plan-HU is printed. With GR posting, the Plan-HU becomes a real HU.

For printing, we are using Output Management. Here, we provide an Application Object ID to identify single Output Request. In EWM, the Application Object ID for the HU is a concatenation of the Warehouse Number, Handling Unit Number and Virtual Handling Unit Indicator (Virtual Handling Unit Indicator indicates if a HU is a plan or real HU).

The plan HU can be printed - however, in the warehouse monitor the real HU is displayed, and as both of them have a different Application Object ID, the Output Request is not displayed in the monitor.

This is a "Display" issue, development team has already notice it and will work on it.

Workaround 2:

Activate automatic warehouse task creation for this process. When automatic warehouse task creation is active, an additional print is triggered for the real HU(use the storage bin as criteria).
