3452010 - Invitations are sent out when using option "Save Changes but don't send" in Outlook.

Symptom

Creating objects such as Visit or Appointments in Outlook and using option "Save Changes but don't send" are having invites sent out to Attendees after sync.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Outlook Desktop Client
  2. Go to Calendar and Create an event in Outlook
  3. Add an Attendee (For events without an attendee, the option "Save Changes but don't send" will not be available)
  4. Select to open the SAP Add-in by clicking "View Context of SAP Cloud for Customer"
  5. Click Create New and save the item to the desired object
  6. Close the Outlook object creation window and select "Save Changes but don't send"
  7. Wait for sync and see that an invite is then sent out for this created object

Cause

Using the option to "Save Changes but don't send" is not the same as setting a draft status in the Outlook Web app.

When using this option the object created is still picked up by the sync engine and thus the invite is sent out.

Resolution

This is the current action of the system.
