3452250 - Linked analysis for input controls is not working as expected

Symptom

Current behavior:

The Input control stops working as expected when we add a table and remove dependency between the table and either of Input Controls.

The selection of the top Input Control level is not reflected in the next level

Expected behavior:

The linked analysis dependency between input controls should not be affected by the unconnected widgets

Environment

SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Create a story with two linked Input Controls
  2. Add a table
  3. Remove the dependency between the table and either of the input controls

Cause

According to Development it is By Design

Resolution

The problem is due to setting the Linked Analysis to only affect selected widgets, but not selecting any widgets from that list.

From Development perspective, this is by design.

The problem is fixed when the scope set to "All widgets on the page", or if link the Input Controls to a widget.
