3452668 - onChange UI rule issue after copying the configUI from another instance

The onChange rule on custom MDF UI rule is not working after copying the configUI from one instance to another via either Import/Export, Instance Sync Tool or Configuration Transport Center.

• Metadata framework (MDF)

1. Create a custom MDF UI on an instance with an onChange rule
2. The UI and the onChange rule works properly
3. Copy the configUI to another instance
4. The onChange rule on the UI does not work in the second instance

From a technical perspective the internal id of the rule is structured in a way that the exporting process breaks it.

This is a known limitation of ConfigUI at this time and in the meanwhile the Product Team has plan to deprecate ConfigUI and will investe the efforts to focus on  MDF Configurations for Latest People Profile | SAP Help Portal .  Please note that there are no plans for enhancements or bug fixes for the ConfigUI.

As workaround, customer can create the UI newly on the instance of its intended use instead of copying it from another instance after the migration.
