3452668 - onChange UI rule issue after copying the configUI from another instance

The onChange rule on custom MDF UI rule is not working after copying the configUI from one instance to another via either Import/Export, Instance Sync Tool or Configuration Transport Center.

• Metadata framework (MDF)

1. Create a custom MDF UI on an instance with an onChange rule
2. The UI and the onChange rule works properly
3. Copy the configUI to another instance
4. The onChange rule on the UI does not work in the second instance

From a technical perspective the internal id of the rule is structured in a way that the exporting process breaks it.

• This is a known issue for which engineering is currently working on a fix.
• As workaround create the UI newly on the instance of its intended use instead of copying it from another instance.
