Symptom
- How to transport a Custom MDF Object in Configuration Transport Center;
- A Custom MDF Object has to be transported in Configuration Transport Center, but Custom MDF Object option cannot be found.

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
Reproducing the Issue
- Log into SuccessFactors
- Go to Configuration Transport Center
- In "Configuration Activities" tab, search for Custom MDF configuration to be transported
- You can't find this option.
Cause
In order to transport a Custom MDF Object, a Bundle has to be created and the object has to be added to it.
Resolution
Creating a Bundle ID:
- Go to Configuration Transport Center > Bundle Management;
- Create New Bundle;
- Go to Configure Object Definition;
- Select the Custom MDF Object to be transported;
- Click on Take Action > Add to Transport Bundle;
- Choose the Bundle created > Save;
- Repeat step 4, 5 and 6 to all Custom MDF Objects to be transferred;
- Return to to Configuration Transport Center > Bundle Management;
- On the Bundle created, click on 3 dots > View;
- Open the Miscellaneous tab and you will see the option MDF Object Definitions;
- All Custom MDF Objects you added to the bundle will be shown;
- You can select them and Initiate Transport.
Ensure you've paired your tenants:
- Select the Target Instance Data Center and the Target Instance Environment.
- Enter the Target Instance Id.
- Choose Generate Token.
- An authentication token is sent to the target tenant. Note: The generated token is valid only for one hour from the time it has been generated. If the token expires, a new authentication token has to be generated.
- On the target tenant, go to Configuration Transport Center > Transport Routes
- Choose Copy Token.
- On the source tenant, go to Configuration Transport Center > Transport Routes > Add New Pair .
- Select the radio button that has the name of your target tenant company Id, from which authentication token was copied.
- Choose the link at the bottom of the Get Authentication Token step.
- Paste the token in the Authentication Token text box.
- Choose Validate
- Got to Configuration Transport Center > Transport Requests Tab > select Imports. The created bundle IDs will be shown.
- Click on the three dots
- Select Validate
- Click the Refresh Icon
- Click on the three dots again
- An Import option should be displayed
- In the Import option is not available yet, retry by clicking the Refresh icon again after a while. After the validation has been completed, the option will appear and it can take some seconds, depending on the Bundle size.
