3452741 - ASE fails to start on 'max memory' configuration is not high enough

Symptom

  • When start the ASE on ASE 16 SP3 or SP04 where the IMRS feature is available.
  • The following error may be seen in the ASE errorlog when try to start the ASE with large number of databases, user connections, java sockets, worker processes or Rep agents. The ASE fail to start.

    00:0000:00000:00000:2024/03/16 09:15:55.09 server  The value of the 'max memory' parameter (1415577600) defined in the configuration file is not high enough to set the other parameter values specified in the configuration file. 'max memory' should be greater than the 'total logical memory' '165469'.
