3452833 - Stopwords not working due to missing filters in Solr schema - SAP Commerce

When exporting synonyms from Backoffice to Solr, no new entries are being added to the stopwords managed resource on Solr, however Backoffice shows no errors.

Logs similar to the following can be observed:

  • Skipping stopwords export (no mapped field): index=master_<your index name>, language=<language>

In this example, we will be using the language "en" and the class which exports the stopwords to Solr is with logger level set to DEBUG.

You can enable DEBUG logs on exporter class with the following properties:

  • log4j2.logger.solrStopwords.appenderRef.stdout.ref=STDOUT
  • log4j2.logger.solrStopwords.level=DEBUG

Exporting the Stopwords:

  1. On Backoffice, create a new Stopword Configuration on your index, then "Export to Solr"
  2. If you enabled DEBUG level on exporter logs, you get logs like the following:
    • Skipping stopwords export (no mapped field): index=master_<your index name>, language=<language>

Checking the Stopwords on Solr:

  1. You can query the Stopwords on Solr in order to check it's existence using your browser and the following URL pattern:
    • https://<your host name>:<solr port>/solr/master_<your collection path>/schema/analysis/stopwords/<language>
  2. You should get a message similar to:
    • "msg":"No REST managed resource registered for path /schema/analysis/stopwords/language
