3452904 - Customizing "Activate Synchronous Goods Movements in the Warehouse" doesn't work for Goods Receipt with Production Order - SAP S/4HANA Cloud

The synchronous goods movement has been deactivated for warehouse, but no inbound delivery is created when post Goods Receipt for production order with APP Post Goods Movements (APP ID MIGO). Instead, material document is created directly.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

1. Go to APP Post Goods Movement (APP ID MIGO). Select Goods Receipt -> Order, enter the production order number.
2. Click "Enter". "Warehouse Management" Tab shows up, it is not expected.
3. Tick "Item", click "Post". Material document is created, no inbound delivery is created.

Below is part of the configuration help for customizing "Activate Synchronous Goods Movements in the Warehouse".

These settings are not relevant for the following goods movements, as the decision to post the goods movement synchronously or not for those scenarios depends on either the purchase order or the settings for production:

• Goods receipt or goods issue from production with reference to a production order or process order or a reservation

• Goods receipt with reference to a purchase order

• Goods receipt with reference to a summarized JIT call

It is relevant to the Production Scheduling Profile assigned to the production order.

The profile is maintained at APP Display Production Oder (APP ID CO03) -> Control Tab.

The field "Post Synchronously to Bin" can be set as "Only Goods Issue" at Customizing "Define Production Scheduling Profile for Process Manufacturing" or Customizing "Define Production Scheduling Profile for Discrete Manufacturing"
