3453263 - Inactivation of Scheduled Reports and Integration Jobs Upon User Termination

Symptom

When a user is terminated, are scheduled reports and integration jobs in Integration Center inactivated?

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite
    • Integration Center

Cause

Initially, jobs begin to fail due to an invalid user or job owner. SAP does not recommend assigning individual users as responsible for triggering jobs.

Resolution

To prevent the inactivation of scheduled reports and integration jobs upon user termination, it is advisable to adopt a different approach. Instead of assigning individual users as job owners, it is more appropriate to create a dedicated system user, such as an SFADMIN.

This eliminates the job's dependency on a specific user and ensures that jobs continue to run as scheduled even after the original user's termination. Therefore, it is recommended to change the job owner to this new system user. This can be accomplished by setting up a new schedule with the newly assigned user.
