3453271 - Translation for new Stories are not working in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • New Story not translated.
  • Translation for new Stories created in Classic or Optimized Design Experience mode, are not working in SAP Analytics Cloud.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.2.16

Reproducing the Issue

  1. In SAP Analytics Cloud, turn ON the system option: "Allow translation of user content"
  2. Create a new Story in Classic, or Optimized Design Experience.
  3. Set the Story Details option: "Enable Translation" to: ON
  4. In Translation, translate the Story for a specific language.
  5. In the User Profile, change the language for the user, to the language the Story has been translated for.
  6. Re-open the Story, and notice the Story is not translated, and still displays in the original language.

Cause

  • Issue with the translation service.
  • Translation service failed due to the error: "Failed to notify client" 

Resolution

  • Story can be translated after resolving the Translation service error.
