3453316 - Product Layout tabs names are mismatching in CPQ and Variant Configuration

When comparing Product Layout tab names with the information that has been synchronized from the backend/Variant Configuration settings, names are not the same.

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ Integrated with SAP Variant Configuration

1. Go to Setup -> Product Catalog -> Products
2. Search for a product synced from backend
3. Go to Product Layout
4. Compare the Tab with the characteristic groups in the payload
5. Check that names are mismatching not the same as in the payload.

• Product Tab IDs, that are being sent on definition of Characteristic Groups in the payload, are already being stored in CPQ with a different name
• This can be checked by searching for the name that is appearing in the Product Layout in the Product Catalog -> Tab.

• Tab with a certain ID is only created once in CPQ, thus, if same ID is sent again to CPQ it will not be created again/overwritten
• To solve the issue, it should be checked the model of the product on the backend and change the tab id for a unique ID.
