3453364 - Not able to add new users when licenses are still available in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • The error message "User changes cannot be saved. The maximum number of <...> licenses have been reached. Please check your current license usage limits. Then deactivate users, delete inactive users, or consider an upgrade to your plan. " would appear when activating the existing user or adding new user in SAC system
  • Check the System Overview application in SAC and notice that there are remaining licenses which have not been consumed

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.2.16

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Log onto SAC
  2. Navigate to System->Overview to open the System Overview application
    => Check that there are remaining licenses which have not been consumed
  3. Navigate to Security->Users
  4. On this Users page, activate the existing user or add a new user
    => Observe that the error message "User changes cannot be saved. The maximum number of <...> licenses have been reached. Please check your current license usage limits. Then deactivate users, delete inactive users, or consider an upgrade to your plan." would appear

Resolution

  • Please create support case to component LOD-ANA-LS. We will then contact Operation team to help further.
