3453389 - System makes position inactive even though pending workflow exist on position during termination.

Symptom

If the 'deactivate position' option is selected as 'yes' during the termination process, the system will deactivate a position even if there is a pending workflow for that position.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central : Position Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Initiate Termination Action on user 
  2. Select Position Deactivate field as "Yes"
  3. If Position has pending workflow still system deactivate position

Cause

This is Expected Behavior. 

Resolution

This is Limitation at this moment. If you think it is critical for the same please raise an influence request so Product team can change the same.
