3453602 - Runtime error is raised when trying to create Ad-hoc report in Run Statutory Reports app

Symptom

When trying to create Ad-hoc report in Run Statutory Reports app, runtime error is obtained 'Runtime Error: 'RAISE_SHORTDUMP'. The OData request processing has been abnormally terminated. If you use SAP S/4HANA Cloud, please create an incident. Otherwise, if "Runtime Error" is not initial, launch ADT feed "Runtime Errors" or transaction ST22 / SM21 (system log analysis) for details and analysis.'.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open Run Statutory Reports app
  2. Choose the report and create the Ad-hoc report
  3. Runtime error is raised "" Runtime Error: 'RAISE_SHORTDUMP'. The OData request processing has been abnormally terminated. If you use SAP S/4HANA Cloud, please create an incident. Otherwise, if "Runtime Error" is not initial, launch ADT feed "Runtime Errors" or transaction ST22 / SM21 (system log analysis) for details and analysis. ""

Cause

When duplicate Activity Key is added with overlapping date range of 'Use As Of' and 'Use Until'

Please refer to the below example

Resolution

  1. Open SSCUI ID 101071 'Setting Up Your Statutory Reporting'. 
  2. Select the Reporting entity and select Report ID and navigate to Set Properties of Reporting Activity
  3. Make sure that there is no overlapping of date range of 'Use As Of' and 'Use Until'
