3453864 - First SAP GUI connection attempt through a saprouter fails with "timeout"

Symptom

SAP GUI users are connecting to an ABAP system though a saprouter.

Whenever the saprouter is (re)started, the first SAP GUI connection attempt from the user fails with a "timeout" message like the below:

     NiBufIConnect: route connect '/H/[saprouter_IP]/H/[remaining saprouter string]' timeout

When simulating the issue with the saprouter having being started with trace level 2 (saprouter command line argument "-V 2"), the "dev_rout" trace file reveals very slow DNS responses. For example:

     NiHLGetHostName: to get [IP address of affected end user] failed in 15012ms (tl=2000ms)
