• Create an Optimized Design Experience (ODE) story based on the live data connection to BW/4HANA system and define linked dimensions to different live BW/4HANA models.
• Enable linked analysis among widgets in this optimized story.
• Observe that the error message "Please enter a valid value for characteristic 0HIER_NODE." would appear when filtering on data point selection.
• Classic story mode => OK, no error appears.
• Convert the story to ODE story mode => Not OK, error shows up.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2024.2.18
• SAP BW/4HANA 2021

1. Login to SAC.
2. Create an Optimized Design Experience (ODE) story based on the live data connection to BW/4HANA system.
3. Define linked dimensions to different live BW/4HANA models.
4. Insert a table and charts.
5. Enable linked analysis among widgets.
6. Click on any data point in this table to filter data based on data point selection among these widgets in this story (Linked analysis has been enabled on this table) => Observe that the error message "Please enter a valid value for characteristic [CharName]. " would appear and no data would appear on other widgets.

This issue is currently under investigation by development.
