By running activity-based consolidation of investments, for at-equity method, unexpected posting occurs to statistical negative investment FS Item $*EN*. (FS Item on negative investment can be identified in configuration step SAP S/4HANA for Group Reporting > Consolidation of Investments > Specify Items for Equity Method Postings (t-code CXJ3).)

The consolidation unit, which reports the investment in an at-equity consolidation unit, uses integrated data transfer method.

User recalculates results based on article 3438782 (using lists acc. article 3442762) and finds that investment book value from opening (balance carryforward) period 000 is not taken into account by consolidation of investments when calculating negative and positive investment book value.

User is unable to properly enrich reported investment data with C/I control data in a way that carryforward of investment data is correctly interpreted by consolidation of investments in subsequent year(s).
