3454901 - Employees being skipped when using "Publish selected employees in the Metadata Framework (MDF)" - Compensation

Symptom

When performing the publish "Publish selected employees in the Metadata Framework (MDF) " a few users are being skipped despite having changes in the MDF field from non zero to zero values.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Compensation Home
  2. Select the Template
  3. Complete compensation cycle
  4. Publish data dropdown > Click on "Publish selected employees in the Metadata Framework (MDF)"
  5. Select the wanted options and submit
  6. Job completes successfully and a few records are skipped

Cause

This is expected behavior. The publish is skipped if all fields to be published have 0 or null values, 0 value as standalone cannot be published.

Resolution

In order to publish the 0 value, you should also publish a valid value for other field. Other than that is just by design, an enhancement request can be submitted if you feel that having the option to publish 0 value as standalone is needed for your business requirements.
