3455391 - Unable to change Line Chart markers size on a report in Crystal Reports

• Line Marker size change not retained.
• Changing Line Chart marker size, does not have any effect on a report in Crystal Reports.

1. In Crystal Reports, insert a line chart.
2. Preview the report, and notice the size of the markers on the line chart.
3. Change the markers size by right clicking on the chart, and selecting "Format Options…"
4. In Chart Options, under the tab "Appearance", change the size.
5. Click "OK" to accept the change.
6. When previewing the report, notice the line markers are still the same size.

• Line Chart option "Auto-arrange" is checked.
• This option automatically re-arrange the chart, including the marker size.
• This is why when changing the marker size, it revert back to the original, or different value.

• To be able to change the marker size of a Line Chart, unchecked the Chart option "Auto-arrange":
    
  
  1. In Crystal Reports, open the report with a Line Chart.
  2. Right click on the Line Chart, and select "Chart Expert..."
  3. In "Chart Expert", select the tab "Options".
  4. In "Options", uncheck the Layout option "Auto-arrange", and click "OK".
  5. Back to the report, right click on the Line Chart, and select "Chart Options"
  6. In "Chart Options", change the size, and click "OK"
  7. Save the report.
