Symptom
Monthly approval period time sheets (WNV Monthly Time Sheet can be referred to) are used, and there is conditional field defined in Time Recording object (either with standard or custom fields).
The conditional fields will display and hide correctly on newly created (but not yet saved to DB) time recordings when changing the values in the condition field.
But for the time recordings that have already been saved (to DB) before, if you change the values in the condition field, the relevant conditional fields will not display or hide depending on the values changed.
The conditional fields are not refreshed on saved time recordings.
This happens for both monthly time sheet view and weekly time sheet view, as long as the employee is a monthly approval period time sheet user.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking
Cause
This is a known issue to be improved in future.
Resolution
This is just a UI refresh issue.
You can save the change first, and as soon as the change is saved on the already existing time recording, the UI is refreshed and conditional fields will correctly display or hide depending on the latest value in the condition field correctly.
