3455748 - SAP GUI for Windows 8.00 64-bit Incompatibility Issue with SAP User Experience Management by Knoa

Symptom

While attempting to monitor SAP GUI for Windows 8.00 with the 64-bit (SAP GUI 8-64) version with SAP User Experience Management by Knoa (SAP UEM), one of two symptoms may occur depending on the version of SAP UEM deployed.

  • For SAP UEM version 8.0.58 or earlier, users receive the error message "SAPfewdbg Exception" upon launching SAP GUI 8-64 while SAP UEM is active. The error message disrupts user sessions and prevents them from accessing SAP applications or performing tasks effectively. 
  • For SAP UEM version 8.0.59 or later, when attempting to monitor SAP GUI 8-64, the SAP UEM tool fails to collect the expected data. 
  • These symptoms do not occur with the SAP GUI for Windows 8.00 with the 32-bit version. These symptoms also do not appear when monitoring any of the many other SAP technologies monitored by SAP UEM including SAP Fiori LaunchPad, SAP Portal, SAP GUI for HTML, etc.
