3456239 - Workflow for creating payment proposal

There is a requirement for an approval workflow to create a payment proposal before a payment file is created.

The approval workflow for creating a payment proposal is not available in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Instead, the approval workflow for payments can be found under the scope of J78, as outlined in the microlearning video Workflow for Payment Approval - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Finance - openSAP Microlearning.

As a workaround, schedule a payment proposal and schedule payment in app Manage Automatic Payments by implementing authorization restrictions. This procedure will allow certain users to only schedule a payment proposal, but not schedule payments. For more details on how to set these restrictions, please refer to KBA 2992182 - "Schedule Payment greyed out in the app Manage Automatic Payments".
