Symptom

It takes a long time to import package having dozens of objects via Content Network in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud, Enterprise Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Login to SAC tenant.
Navigate to 'Transport' > 'Import'.
Under the 'Content Network Storage'.
Select one package having dozens of objects.
Click on 'Import'.
=> Notice that the content is getting imported successfully, but it is taking significant time than usual.

Cause

It is an expected behavior when import option "Overwrite objects and Data" is used without selecting "Remove Permissions" check box.
As a result, the objects from the package which are already existing in the tenant would be updated, which takes a long time.

Resolution

Workaround:

Option 1: reduce the objects imported from the package.
Option 2: select "Remove Permissions" check box.
=> In this case, the objects which are already existing in the tenant, would be dropped and then reimported from the package, so it will take much less time.
