SAP Knowledge Base Article - Preview

3456390 - BI 4.X Patch upgrade gets stuck at "Updating repository "

Symptom

  • During upgrade of a support pack/ patch get stuck at  "Updating repository". 
  • In setupengine.log file, the following entries are found:

RunRedistProgram: return value 1
Error: Could not move temp dest folder to dest folder.
Error: Temp dest folder: D:\usr\sap\BOD\InstallData\tmp\mobile.samples-4.0-core-64
Error: Dest folder:D:\usr\sap\BOD\InstallData\InstallCache\mobile.samples-4.0-core 64\14.2.9.4867\
Error: Class name:   class Poco::FileAccessDeniedException
Error: Display text: Access to file denied: \\?\D:\usr\sap\BOD\InstallData\tmp\mobile.samples-4.0- core-64
Error: Could not delete temp dest folder: D:\usr\sap\BOD\InstallData\tmp\mobile.samples-4.0-core-64\
Error: Class name: class Poco::FileAccessDeniedException
Error: Display text: Access to file denied: \\?\D:\usr\sap\BOD\InstallData\tmp\mobile.samples-4.0-core-64\actions\strings\ar.uitext.xml
Error: Could not move temp dest folder to dest folder.
