3456471 - Widget iframe Does Not Adapt to Window Size

Symptom

  • Live Activity and Agent Desktop Responsive UI: Widget iframe Does Not Automatically Adapt to Window Size
  • User noticed that the widget size (height and width) of the iframe does not automatically adjust to the window size.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer core applications 2402
  • Agent Desktop (Agent Console) Side by Side Add-on

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Live Activity or Agent Desktop.
  2. Access a widget containing an iframe.
  3. Resize the browser window to a smaller size.
  4. Enlarge the browser window.
  5. Notice that the widget iframe does not automatically adjust its size to fit the window.

Cause

  • The system is working as designed
  • Provider Control Dimensions only allows iFrame values to be maintained in pixels not % values.
  • The actual Widget content and how it renders is a 3rd party matter which needs to be discussed with the provider.

Resolution

  • Find a common Provider Control Dimensions that meets business requirement, and set that:
    1. Go to Administrator
    2. Navigate to "Service and Social"
      • For Live Activity:
        1. Navigate to Live Activity Configuration
        2. Scroll down to "Provider Control Dimensions"
        3. Adjust the Height and Width in pixels (percentage values are not supported)
        4. You may also choose to enable "Move and Resize Notification"
      • For Agent Desktop scenario
        1. Select "Configure Agent Desktop" from the Service and Social page.
        2. Go to "Configure Widget and Provider"
        3. Scroll down to "Widget Size" and define the Height (px) and Width (px) values
  • If the above does not fit business needs, then please submit a new requirement request via the SAP Customer Influence Program
