3456495 - SAML2 SSO is not triggered when Security Sessions are inactive

Symptom

  • SAML2 is not getting triggered - A pop-up asking for user credentials appears.
  • The system was verified and validated according to the below KBAs, but the issue persists.
    • 2948210 - SAML does not get triggered after enabling SPNego
    • 3096731 - Browser shows logon pop-up after configuring Kerberos SSO for SAPGUI on ABAP system
  • The security session is disabled for the client used (Transaction SICF_SESSIONS, the Current Status parameter has a value in red)
