3456558 - Request to Enable Attachment After Outbound Delivery Has Been Released

Symptom

Feature Request to be able to add attachment to Outbound Delivery in Released Status.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the Outbound Logistics work center. 
  2. Go to the Outbound Deliveries view. 
  3. Find and select a released Outbound Delivery.
  4. Click Edit.
  5. Go to the Line Items tab.
  6. Go to the Attachments sub-tab.
  7. You can see the Add button is greyed out and you cannot add a file or a link.
  8. You would like to be able to add attachment to a Released Outbound Delivery.

Cause

Currently this function is not possible.

Resolution

Your request is beyond technical support as the feature/functionality you request is currently not part of the SAP product you have subscribed to, as outlined in our Product Documentation.

You have the following options:

  1. You like your company or an SAP Partner to implement the feature/functionality into your environment, e.g. by using the SAP Cloud Application Studio for custom coding
  2. You like to wait for SAP to potentially add this feature / functionality into the Standard Product, e.g. into SAP Business ByDesign
    This program is related to Products and Solutions. Ideas are reviewed by SAP Product Management. Votes help to prioritize ideas along with other important selection criteria such as:
  • DESIRABILITY: How many customers voted for this? How many customers will benefit from it?
  • VIABILITY: Is this Improvement Request globally relevant? Is this in alignment with SAP’s strategy for the product?
  • FEASIBILITY: Is the development effort realistic?  Is this request achievable within the product’s architecture?

 To be able to add an attachment to an Outbound Delivery that is already released, you must Undo the Release of the Delivery and add your attachments.
