3456601 - System Crashes While Releasing An Outbound Delivery

Symptom

When user tries to release an stock transfer outbound delivery/ outbound delivery system crashes.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Outbound Logistics Work center.
  2. Go to Outbound Deliveries view.
  3. Search the relevant ID.
  4. Select and choose Release.
  5. System crashes.

Cause

  • In material master data of the required materials, Cost Rate which is maintained is valid from MMDDYYYY, however the Delivery Date on the Outbound Delivery is set earlier than "valid from" for which no cost has been maintained in the material valuation of required materials with business residence. ( i.e. MMDDYYYY refers to Valid From date)                                                                                                OR

  • Additionally, the Delivery Date on the Outbound Delivery is set later than "valid to" date for which no cost has been maintained in the material valuation of required materials with business residence. and hence the cost is not valid.    OR

  • Also, the item's ship-to party ( Business Residence) in respective material's master data->their Business Residence at Valuation level, the status is with "In Preparation" instead of Active in stock transfer scenario.

Resolution

  1. Go to the Product Portfolio workcenter.
  2. Go to the Products view.
  3. Search for the relevant Product ID.
  4. Select and edit the product ID.
  5. Choose View All.
  6. Navigate to Valuation tab.
  7. Select required Business Residence.
  8. Maintain Cost Rate with Valid From/ Valid To as per Outbound Delivery Date.
