Calibration mail templates can not be disabled.

SAP SuccessFactors Calibration

1. uncheck the calibration mail templates
2. save notification settings
3. after the page refreshes, notice that the calibration mail templates are checked again

This is possibly caused by dirty data.

You can click on the "save changes" for the mail template to refresh the setting of xml content.

This may also apply to mail templates under other modules.
