3456701 - Mobile Access is Disabled for Learning but User Can Access LMS on Mobile App via Direct Link

Symptom

Mobile Access is disabled for Learning, but user can still open LMS module on SAP SuccessFactors Mobile Application via direct link generated.

For iOS:

  • Users are taken to the mobile app (no app/browser selection page).

For Android:

  • Users are taken to the mobile browser and is shown the app/browser selection page.
    • If the user selects app, the user is taken to the mobile app.
    • If the user selects browser, the user is taken to the Learning screen.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors Learning
  • SAP SuccessFactors Mobile App

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Disable LMS under Admin Center> Mobile Settings>Modules
  2. The direct link is enabled under System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > DIRECT_LINK
  3. Generate a direct link to LMS from Learning Administration>System Administration>System Management Tools>Generate Direct Link
  4. Share the direct link to users via email or some other channel
  5. Users can open the direct link on mobile phone and access LMS module on SF Mobile App

Cause

Resolution

This is an expected behavior. Direct links are not designed to be used as navigation tools to call back into the App.
