3456776 - Unable to Edit an External Learning History with Special Characters

Admins cannot edit/delete an external learning history from 'Edit Learning History' and there are special characters in the event description.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Navigate to LMS Administration > Edit Learning History;
2. Search for the user and the course with the special character (e.g. 💤);
3. Notice that the record cannot be edited.

It is a function gap that special characters are not restricted when creating an External Learning Event but will be unable to Edit/Delete it anymore.

Currently there is no estimated timeline to change system behavior so please avoid usage of special characters in future.

To resolve this issue, a script needs to be run to replace the special characters in the learning history record.

Please open a case under LOD-SF-LMS-ADM and SAP Support will engage Engineering team to run the script.
