3456800 - How to change "Date 01/01/1900 is in the past "(Message no. V1437) from a warning message to an error message

Symptom

There is a requirement to change the warning message "Date *01/01/1900 is in the past" (Message no. V1437) into an error message when setting the valid-to date of a Quantity contract.

*Where 01/01/1900 represents any date which is in the past of the current date.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Manage Sales Contract App.
  2. Open a Quantity contract.
  3. Click edit.
  4. Set the valid-to date value as a date which has already passed the current date.
  5. Press Enter.
  6. Warning message "Date *01/01/1900 is in the past" is raised.

Cause

Currently, in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition it's not possible to change this message from a warning to an error. It's a missing functionality.

Resolution

Consider to create a feature request this business requirement. This will inform the responsible developers as to what additional functionality should be considered for future releases.
