3456814 - Material Not Permitted with Product Category Constraint

You are trying to create an replenishment rule for a specific logistics area under Site A. However, you are getting an error "Material B not permitted with product category constrain" while adding replenishment rule for product B.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center.
2. Navigate to Locations View.
3. Select Site A.
4. Choose Edit Layout button.
5. Select the line of the specific Logistics Area.
6. Go to Replenishment and Removal Rules - Replenishment Subtab.
7. Fulfill a product based rule for product B.
8. Choose Save button, then the mentioned error would occur.

You have set the storage groups in Restrictions Subtab of this specific Logistics Area. Then System would only allow user to add the product information which matches one of these maintained storge groups.

The system works as expected, you can check the setting by below steps:

1. Open the master data of Product B.
2. Go to Logistics Tab.
3. Select the line for Site A, then you will understand that the Storage Group is X.
4. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data Work Center.
5. Navigate to Locations View.
6. Select Site A.
7. Choose Edit Layout button.
8. Select the line of the specific Logistics Area.
9. Go to Restrictions - Allowed Logistics Units and Storage Groups Subtab, you will understand that the storage group X is not one of the maintained allowed Storage Groups.
