3456831 - Group Reporting: Consolidation frequency for activity-based consolidation of investments

By running activity-based consolidation of investments, for at-equity method, unexpected posting occurs to statistical negative investment FS Item $*EN* in a subsequent consolidation activity. (FS Item on negative investment can be identified in configuration step SAP S/4HANA for Group Reporting > Consolidation of Investments > Specify Items for Equity Method Postings (t-code CXJ3).)

User recalculates results based on article 3438782 (using lists acc. article 3442762) and finds that goodwill from first consolidation period is not considered (by system) in the calculation of negative and positive investment.

Another symptoms (e.g. unexpected postings in a Total Divestiture activity) may occur also for purchase method.
