3457182 - Error " Change inv-managed-indicator not possible; logistics area not empty"

Error occurs during unchecking the "Inventory Managed" Indicator for Logistics Area XXX (XXX represents the Logistics Area ID).

Error Message: Change inv-managed-indicator not possible; logistics area not empty.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.
2. Choose Locations View.
3. Search for relevant Site ID.
4. Edit Layout button.
5. Select line item with Logistics Area XXX.
6. Under the General sub-tab, uncheck the Inventory managed Indicator, then above error occurs.

Pre-check:

1. There is no stock in logistics area XXX.
2. There is no child logistics areas under the logistics area XXX.

There are opened warehouse tasks in system which would make expected inventory change for relevant Site of Logistics Area XXX. For example, there are some in process inbound warehouse tasks for purchasing or stock transferring, when trying to uncheck the inventory managed check box, system will trigger this error.

The Warehouse tasks should be finished for all the items tagged to relevant Site of Logistics Area XXX. After finishing those opened warehouse tasks, the inventory managed checkbox can be unchecked. Upon completion of warehouse tasks the item entry will be deleted from expected inventory.
