3457258 - "Last Modified On" of Dependents Information not updated after deleting the dependent record

The "last modified on" of the Person Relationship (Dependents) information does not get updated when a user deletes a dependent through the UI.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Dependents Information

1. Create a dependent's record (Relationship Type: Father) in Dependents Information portlet with an effective date (for e.g., 1st Jan 2024).
2. Insert a new record with an effective date (for e.g., 1st March 2024) and delete just the dependent record (not the entire time slice)
3. Retrieve the "last modified on" for Dependents Information through a Canvas report or API and you will see that the "last modified on" did not get updated for the record effective 1st March 2024. 

The reason why the "last modified on" does not get updated is that once you delete the dependent record, for e.g., effective 1st March 2024, once the "Father" dependent record was deleted, there is no dependent record available in the database table as on 1st March 2024.

Since there is no dependent record entry in the main (Person Relation) table, it is expected that there will be no entry in the audit table as well. That is why it is not feasible for the system to capture the change in the "last modified on" for the dependent record deleted with effect from 1st March 2024.

This can be verified in Data Inspector wherein the Table_PER_PERSON_RELATION_T and Table_PER_PERSON_RELATION_T_AUD will only have an entry for the dependent record effective 1st Jan 2024, but there will be no entries effective 1st March 2024. 

This behavior of "last modified on" is common for all the effective-dated entities.
