3457295 - Data actions raise error for publishing data when the model is enabled with the data audit in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

The following error is received during the publishing of a data action:

• "The results of the data action XX could not be published on version YY. The public edit version YY for the data action XX has been successfully reverted.

If the data audit is disabled for the related model, the issue does not happen. However, when enabling the data audit again, the issue happens again.

The manual publishing of the same version from the publish data button fails with the error "An unexpected technical error occurred."

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise)

This data action generates numbers that are larger than 10^24.

Currently, the value restrictions in private versions are not completely aligned with the restrictions for data in the fact table. As a result, when trying to publish such large numbers, the error happens.

The development team are working on a solution to align these restrictions so that the data action will fail at an earlier stage.

Meanwhile, please check the data action steps that might produce overly large numbers, e.g., steps that divide by numbers potentially close to zero and see whether the large numbers are as expected or nonsensical.
