3457691 - Manager is not changed depending on Take Action Order - Employee Central

Symptom

When changing Job and Compensation Info in Employee Profile, through Take Action tool, if the checkbox Compensation is checked first, and Job is checked after, when the position is changed, the manager does not change. Although, if the Job checkbox is checked first and the Compensation checkbox is checked after, when the position is changed, the manager changes correctly.

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the employee profile and click on Actions
  2. Click on Change Job and Compensation Info
  3. Select first the checkbox Compensation Information
  4. Then, select the checkbox Job Information New
  5. Select today to theses changes take effect
  6. Scroll down to Position Information
  7. Change the Position
  8. Scroll down to Job Information: the Supervisor field does not change
  9. Cancel the changes and repeat steps 1 and 2
  10. Now, select first the checkbox Job Information New
  11. Then, select the checkbox Compensation Information
  12. Repeat steps 5 to 8
  13. Scroll down to Job Information: the Supervisor field now has changed

Cause

This is a product defect.

Resolution

This was investigated by product engineering it it is scheduled to to be fixed in 1H 2024 release.
