3457761 - IBP - SAP Integrated Business Planning is not compatible with the selected OpenAPI version in S/4 system (Add-on Version)

Symptom

  • SDI integration between SAP S/4HANA and SAP Integrated Business Planning fails with the following error:

    "The connected SAP ERP, supply chain integration add-on for SAP Integrated Business Planning is not compatible with the selected OpenAPI version."

  • According to the documentation Inbound Integration: SDI ABAP Adapter - Available Versions of OpenAPI, the required Supply Chain Integration Add-On for SAP Integrated Business Planning (IBPIECC and IBPIFND) is version 1.0 for SAP S/4HANA (and 1.1 for SAP ERP).

  • However, in the connected SAP S/4HANA system, the add-on components IBPIECC and IBPIFND are displayed with release 110 (1.1), suggesting a version mismatch.
