Symptom
Import job failed with error 'Import to model ended unexpectedly' in SAC
Environment
SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2024.2.18
Connection: Import
Reproducing the Issue
- Login to SAC
- Go to the modeler
- Go to Data management tab
- Select the affected import job
- Notice that the import job failed with error: 'Import to model ended unexpectedly'.
Cause
The issue is related to running two jobs at the same time on the same model which is not expected.
Resolution
If you have two jobs overlapped, it can cause the lock on the model data and one of the jobs will fail.
You may use job-grouping to make sure the jobs are running sequentially without overlaps.
