3458334 - Information Maintained for Extension Field at Material Level is Not Being Carried to the Product in a New Sales Order Document

After creating and filling the information for a Extension Field ZZZ in the Product Master Data, the same information is not being carried to the Extension Field ZZZ of the Product in a Sales Order document, even though the Extension Field ZZZ is displayed in the document.

1. Go to Product and Service Portfolio Work Center.
2. Go to the Products View.
3. Search for the Product ABC. (where ABC represents the Sales Order ID)
4. Open, Select View All.
5. Locate the Extension Field ZZZ.

Information has been maintained for Extension Field ZZZ in the Master Data.

1. Go to the Sales Order Work Center.
2. In the Common task column, select New Sales Order.
3. Open, Select View All button.
4. Fill the mandatory information in the General tab.
5. Navigate to the Items tab.
6. Select Add Row button.
7. In the Product ID field, enter the Product ID ABC.

The Extension Field ZZZ is displayed in blank.

The Extension Field ZZZ is displayed in blank for the Product in a new Sales Order document, because the Extension Scenario "Material - General Information to Sales - Item" is currently not added for the Extension Field ZZZ.

Kindly add the Extension Scenario "Material - General Information to Sales - Item" for the Extension Field ZZZ through the adaptation mode.

For this process we kindly ask you to perform the below steps:

Note: The Extension Field ZZZ must be enabled to be displayed in the Sales Orders documents.

1. Go the Sales Order Work Center.
2. Go to the Sales Order View.
3. Filter for All Orders.
4. Open any recent created Sales Order with status "Open". 
5. Select View All.
6. Select the User Icon.
7. Select Key user settings.
8. Select Start Adaptation Mode.
9. Navigate to the Item tab.
10. Select the "+ " Icon.
11. Select the Extension Fields option.
12. Mark the Extension Field ZZZ
13. Select Show Further Usage
14. In the new window, select the Extension Scenarios tab.
15. Mark the Extension Scenario 'Material - General Information to Sales - Item'.
16. Select Add Field.
17. In the Adaptation collunm, Select Publish button.
18. Exit the Adaptation Mode.

Now when adding the Product ABC in the Sales Orders, the information maintained in the Extension Field ZZZ will be carried out to the same Extension Field ZZZ in the Sales Order document.
