3458336 - Application Error when Candidate Submits PDC After Restarting - Onboarding

Candidates see application error while submitting Personal Data Collection task after onboarding was restarted: An application error occurred. Please try again later, or notify support (with the error information of errorId=xxxx, timestamp=xxxx, and the version information from the current screen) if the issue keeps occurring.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

1. Restart onboarding process for candidate
2. PDC step has triggered
3. Log in as candidate
4. Open PDC task and fill all required details then proceed until submit
5. Application error occurs

In the Hire Template, 1 single custom MDF object is: 

1. Configured under the 1st section (refer to KBA: 3516202), or
2. Configured under more than 1 sections at the same time
   • For example: custom MDF object "cust_ABC" is configured under both section "Personal Details" and section "Job Details" at the same time

Kindly follow below steps:

1. Go to Manage Data >> Hire Template
2. Select the hire templated applied for candidate
3. Click on "Take Action" >> "Make Correction"
4. Click on "Details" behind each section under Section Configuration column
5. Make sure below configuration:
   • 1 single custom MDF object should be configured under only 1 of the sections
   • Also, custom MDF object should not be configured under the 1st section along with Job information wherein Job information should not also be in the first section even without the custom MDF 
6. Click on "Save"

After you have made the above changes, you can test with an existing by restarting once again or ideally with new candidate.
