3458411 - Records with no change being publish to Employee Profile - Compensation

Symptom

Records with no changes/blank are being published from compensation to Employee central.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM
  • SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Compensation home
  2. Select the template
  3. Complete compensation cycle > Publish data > Publish in employee central or Publish Selected Worksheets in Employee Central or  Publish Selected employees in Employee Central
  4. Record is published for users that did not had changes to any values in the worksheet resulting in a empty record

Cause

Compensation field being published is mapped to a deleted/removed Employee central field. The record is being created because system identifies a change in the deleted EC field and publishes. Since the EC field was deleted, it is no longer visible, creating the impression that an empty record is being published.

Resolution

This can be fixed with one of the two options below:

  1. Recreate the delete EC field in Manage business configuration
  2. Change the mapping of the compensation field to a active/existing EC field

Note: Make sure all the mappings in the Compensation templates are valid and that all compensation fields are mapped to existing/active EC fields.
